Cbeebies Celebrates Tree Fu Tom's Success



FremantleMedia Enterprises is celebrating a strong start for Tree Fu Tom on Cbeebies.
The show has become the channel's number one TV programme of 2012 to date, attracting 330,000 kids aged 0 to six for the first 11 episodes.
This rises to 542,000 among all individuals aged four and above.
The series - which combines elements of heroic action, fantasy and magic, coupled with interactive physical activity - averaged a 25 per cent audience share among 0 to six year olds, rising to 30 per cent among kids aged four to six, above slot average for the broadcaster (source: BARB, consolidated date).
"We are thrilled Tree Fu Tom has been such a huge hit with children throughout the UK," said Sander Schwartz, president, kids and family entertainment, FME. "The series is exceptional and it has been a delight developing the show with the talented team at the BBC."
Kay Benbow, Cbeebies' controller, added: "I am delighted that Tree Fu Tom has been so popular with our audience."

Tree Fu Tom will return with a further 11 episodes later this year.
