BBC Issue A Press Statement Over The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Episode Trailer



Following the deluge of complaints that the BBC received following the showing of an exclusive trailer for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Episode at San Diego Comic Con last weekend, the BBC Media Centre have issued a short statement to entry to explain their decision. UK fans vented their frustration after it became clear that the trailer, shown during the Doctor Who panel on Sunday, was not going to appear online. It was also erroneously believed by many that the trailer had been screened nationally in the USA.

This was an exclusive Comic Con trailer made especially for the Doctor Who 50th panel, it has not been released in the US.


This world famous international event is an established platform used by all of the major producers. UK fans can look forward to exclusive content over the next few months.

On Sunday evening the BBC released three exclusive images from the special that revealed that the Daleks would return.

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Episode stars Matt Smith, David Tennant, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper,John Hurt and Joanna Page. It will air on Saturday 23rd November at 8pm GMT on BBC One and will be simulcast worldwide
