David Tennant's Richard II DVD & Blu-ray Art Work Revealed


The Royal Shakespeare Company have revealed the art work for the DVD and Blu-ray of David Tennant's Richard II which will be released in the UK on 6th May.

Richard is King. A monarch ordained by God to lead his people. But he is also a man of very human weakness. A man whose vanity threatens to divide the great houses of England and drag his people into a dynastic civil war that will last 100 years. RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran directs David Tennant in the title role.
Extras on the DVD include an interview with David Tennant and a commentary by Director Gregory Doran and Live from Stratford-upon-Avon Producer John Wyver, cast gallery and subtitles in French and German.
The Blu-ray additionally includes a film exploring behind the scenes of the production, giving an insight into the process of putting the play onto the stage at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the logistics of filming the production for live broadcast.
