VIDEO: David Tennant And Rosamund Pike Talk To Hello! Magazine

The stars of the new UK comedy film What We Did On Our Holiday stopped to talk to Hello! Magazine on the red carpet at the movie's premiere on Monday evening. David Tennant and Rosamund Pike play Doug and Abi McLeod, a married couple who are going through a bitter divorce.

The film, created by award winning writing duo Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, follows the McLeods as they head off on a trip to Scotland to celebrate the 75th birthday of Doug's father Gordie (Billy Connolly). As Gordie is ill, they intend to keep their split a secret, but can their three young kids manage to avoid spilling the beans. But soon the extended family have a bigger problem to deal with.

"It's very funny, it's also very touching. I'm really, really proud of it, actually," said David, adding that he was particularly drawn to the project by Guy and Andy's script and the prospect of working with Billy Connolly.

Rosamund Pike spoke about the young stars of the film, Emilia Jones, Bobby Smalldridge and Harriet Turnbull, who play the three McLeod children, and whose lines were completely improvised.
"They just kept us on our toes. They were basically licensed to throw anything they wanted at us and let their imaginations run riot," she said.
