Disney XD have released a new trailer for the series launch of Doctor Who in North America next month. Season 2 starring David Tennant and Billie Piper premieres on Saturday 13th June.
Disney have acquired the rights to air seasons 2-4 of the UK's iconic scifi series on Disney XD, the basic cable channel aimed at kids aged 6-11 and home to other top-rated action adventure programming including Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Rebels and Marvel Television’s animated series. The landmark series depicts the adventures of the Doctor, played by David Tennant, a Time Lord who travels through space and time in his TARDIS combatting various enemies to save civilizations around the universe. Now a whole new generation of kids are set to get introduced to the Doctor, his companions and his enemies.

Following the season taster of Season 2, Episode 1 (New Earth), currently airing on Disney XD and Disney XD en Español, the full season rollout will begin from Saturday, June 13 at 9pm ET. A special week-long programming event will give fans eight episodes airing daily Saturday, June 13 through Saturday, June 20. Beginning June 14, episodes will also be available on the WATCH Disney XD app, which allows consumers to watch on tablets, phones, computers and connected TVs.
