UK TV: W1A Narrated By David Tennant Returns To BBC Two On 18th September



The award-winning comedy series W1A returns to BBC Two for a third series beginning on Monday 18th September at 10pm BST. Hugh Bonneville and Jessica Hynes star as Ian Fletcher and Siobhan Sharpe who, following the successful delivery of the Olympic Games in the sitcom Twenty Twelve, now find themselves employed by the BBC. The show also sees Sarah Parish, Hugh Skinner, Jason Watkins, Monica Dolan, Nina Sosanya, Ophelia Lovibond, Joel Fry, Alex Beckett and Jonathan Bailey all reprising their roles from the previous two series, while David Tennant provides a wry voiceover.

It is the year of charter renewal and a critical time for the BBC. The renewal group under head of values Ian Fletcher is tasked with identifying what the BBC does best and finding more ways of doing less of it better. Meanwhile, a Channel 4 documentary alleges that the BBC rejected an ex-Premier League footballer as a potential pundit on Match of the Day. Look out for cameos by legendary football stars Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
